From this moment on, you simply produce Marines non-stop.

This is when you pull off 1 SCV, set it on auto-repair, and make it repair the Barracks that is under attack by Zerglings. The Zerglings will arrive when the second Barracks just finishes, and your first Barracks has not produced it's first Marine yet. During construction of the Barracks you have plenty of time to put them in a control group and set the rally point between your Barracks and Command Center. As soon as a Barracks finishes, start building a Marine. The third Barracks should be placed just to the right of the bottom Mineral Patch. Start by building 3 Barracks, the first two should be crammed between the Supply Depot and the Vespene Geyser, leaving 1 square between the Command Center and the Barracks. This method makes use of the lack of AI micro, and requires little micro to work. Of course, if you are finished with your buildings and you are only busy with marines, spend remaining minerals on SCVs so you will get enough minerals for reparation!

Keep the marine production on and repairing your buildings, and if your timing is off, or for another reason you can't repair the buildings quick enough, just get a few more SCVs off your mineral line. The Zerglings will come before your last supply depot is finished, but this does not matter, since your SCV will keep building and you can defend your wall-off by producing a marine and in the meanwhile repairing the buildings in your wall-off by repairing them with your SCVs. If you send a third SCV to the choke point to build another supply depot, you'll have yourself walled off. Then, send a second SCV to the choke point to build a supply depot. This, albeit, is aside the point of the challenge but it still works.Īnother way to do it, is to immediately go build a Barracks with an SCV at the choke point which is South-East from your command center. This will delay bunkers and marines but the PF provides ample defense. The first waves come moments before the planetary fortress finishes so you may need to move your scv's around to avoid losing them. Teching Planetary fortress with an engineering bay also is effective in these challenges as it is the quickest tech path to obtain defenses. Simply pull two or three SCVs to repair it whenever it comes under attack. Your marines in the bunker should be able to easily handle all subsequent zergling waves. Once the zerglings are dead, return your SCVs to mining. Do your best to pull injured SCVs back from the fight. It is helpful to use your shift key to queue multiple attack-move commands, so your SCVs will not sit idle once the first zergling dies. Once the zerglings come up your ramp, attack-move your SCVs to the zerglings. The first zergling wave will arrive before the bunker is completed. Set the rally point of your barracks to the bunker. Once the barracks has completed, immediately begin constructing a bunker and training Marines. Any delay in the construction of the barracks will delay your Bunker, which is essential to surviving the second and third Zergling waves. Place your bunker below your mineral line, close enough that SCVs can easily move to repair it.īegin by immediately building a Barracks.
